The world’s most expensive player officially opened a Cardiff primary school which was formed after his old primary school closed.
Footballer Gareth Bale proved he is not only a class act on the field when he officially opened a primary school close to his Cardiff home.
The Real Madrid star unveiled a plaque at Whitchurch Primary School, Cardiff’s newest primary school, in front of hundreds of delighted pupils.
The Whitchurch boy spent two hours at the school and attended a special assembly with Year 5 and 6 pupils before spending time going round individual classes speaking to children.
He also signed two footballs, two football shirts for the school and raised the school flag during his visit.
